Towards a Clean Energy Transition: Reducing greenhouse emissions and improving the quality of life for all
The project "Towards a Clean Energy Transition: Reducing greenhouse emissions and improving the quality of life for all" operates within the New European Bauhaus and the European Green Deal frameworks, emphasizing environmental sustainability, inclusion, and diversity. It focuses on providing intensive practical training to accelerate the acquisition of green skills, aiming to facilitate the ecological transition towards renewable energies and the circular economy, thus translating European policies into local actions.
The project sets out to:
Enhance ecological transition and circular economy knowledge among partners to foster more inclusive and sustainable cities.
Promote innovative alternatives for access to self-produced renewable energy and efficient domestic energy use.
Encourage active citizenship and dialogue with local institutions.
Key activities include promotional campaigns, trainings, workshops, production of mini-videos, and a campaign to promote project results, aiming at increased energy saving awareness, dialogue between citizens and institutions, contributions to local implementations of energy efficiency policies, training for workers/technicians, and engagement of local residents and associations in the workshops.
Detailed activities encompass training sessions and national workshops across Italy, the Netherlands, and Latvia, focusing on energy democracy, principles of renewable energy communities, sustainable energy management, and local engagement in the green transition. These initiatives aim to educate professionals, students, and local residents on renewable energy, self-production, energy communities, and sustainable energy practices, intending to foster a green economy, alleviate energy poverty, and promote green jobs and active participation in ecological transitions at a local level.
